Homam Yagam
Homams are a type of puja that is performed to honor a specific gods by invoking Agni the god of fire. The legend says that Lord Brahma (the creator of Trinity) created man, he also Trinity) made man. He also invented “Homam” to provide a means of livelihood for the man as well as his fulfillment of spiritual goals. The premise that underlies Homam originates from the Vedas but, according the “Purusha Sooktham”. It’s the reverse method. Vedas was a source of Homam.
MAHA GANAPATHI HOMAM Ganesha (elephant facing God) is worshipped every day prior to the beginning of the process of preparing for any Pooja or Homa. Lord Ganesha eliminates any obstacle. The Lord Ganesha is also identified as ‘Vigneshwara’, [vigna + Eswarameaning Lord Ganesha who eliminates any obstruction (Vighna).
LAKSHMI – KUBERA Homam Lakshmi-Kubera Homam is performed with the purpose of creating legitimate wealth. People who are in business or have financial issues can perform this Homam in order to get the blessings and benevolence that is offered by Goddess Lakshmi.
SANTHANNA HOMAM is dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu. The the Lord Maha Vishnu himself conferred the knowledge of this homa to Sanatkumara and then gave this instruction to Sage Bodhayana.
RUDRA HOMAM Sri Rudram chant is an old Vedic hymn and is the earliest example of a list of different names for Lord Siva. With the chanting of Sri Rudram Lord Sivas diverse attributes and qualities are revered and invoked. The chanting of the Rudram is believed to be a great source of benefit.
